August 9, 2007 - Seattle and Portland this weekend! - farewell shows for Jude and the Lowstars

When I started this "blog" I told you that I would try to be as forthright as I could be, and that hopefully a few years down the line you would be able to say: "oh, THAT'S what happened..." Well. Here we are, and what happened was The Low Stars, formerly 'The Group' formerly 'CGSR', and formerly fun for everybody...

If you've been reading (and bless you if you have all this time!), then you may have detected that i resisted the project even as I helped to create it. Then you may have noticed that I stopped being as honest on here as I once was. The truth is that I was too defined as an individual artist to ever survive in anything other than a CSN&Y type situation, and the Low Stars, after years of tug-of-war, just doesn't have room for a "Y", or even a "J", as it were. I won't get into any sour grapes here. Those three guys are all cool in their own ways and I wish them well. I hope they'll credit me when they break out Calling All Friends, but I won't hold my breath :) I just let myself get distracted yet again by the promise of a bigger audience... Did it again - isn't that amazing? .... Then I play in front of you all and Iremember why God put me here. so Ill be back out there in the States this Fall come hell or high water. I'll be making another record for France this year; and hopefully getting a bigger release for "Redemption" in America. We'll be putting out a digital EP soon, and other things to keep the train a'rollin'. Or at least, a'bumpin. or a'sumthin'.

I'm a little embarassed to be here in my career and life, so I procrastinated making this official, but the truth is that i once again feel free - this time from chains i didn't even know were growing on me at the time. My love to you all, and please say hi if you make it out this weekend.

- Jude
