Jude,

i signed up for this list years ago and never get any emails. Would
love to see you live. What's up with Death cab for Cutie, I feel like
they ripped off YOUR sound!
anyway, keep up the good work

I am from the Uk and just bought Cuba to add to the rest of your Albums I own. Love the tunes matey anyhoo to the point the T-shirt link doesn't work here or on your My-space site. I would love to proudly wear a T-Shirt of yours especially as I will sport it down your way on my holiday this year, I am in LA for a couple of days in September!
Any ideas how I might get my grubby paws on one, I am of course prepared to part with the Reddies (greenies or greenbacks in your case).
Kind Regards and keep the music coming.

A big big fan from Paris

Three songs into Cuba and it's like I'm discovering your music all over again - R
Hey Jude,
I'm so happy you've finally released your new CD! Unfortunately I can't find it here
in Germany in any record stores and I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed. I
got to know your music when you released Redemption, I somehow stumbled upon it and
it really touched my soul. You know it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me feel
free...it's really hard to explain the feeling you get when listening to the music
you adore, but I guess you'll get the point. Honestly there aren't many records I
listen as often as to your Redemption. (Except John Frusciante, you know his
music?). As I don't wanna waste your time;-), I get to the bottom of my mail: Do you
release your record in Germany? Have you any plans for going on tour? I would love
to see you playing guitar.....
Sorry for any grammar mistakes and many thanks for your music.
Best wishes! -
J

"Cuba" STILL isn't up for sale online. They tell me early next week at the latest, and of course I'll post all over the place when it's "live". Sorry for all false alarms on this one, guys.

I have a very poor marketing team. The fact that I periodically get a letter like this coming only weeks after I played Seattle, tells me that with enough exposure I might be able to make touring a money-making enterprise. But that would cost money. Hmmm. . . . . "I'm sure you get millions of emails everyday from people telling you how much they love your music. At the risk of sounding like everyone else, I purchased "No one is really beautiful" when it came out on cassette, and have now replaced it twice with cds. It is a cd i could listen to forever. I've purchased tickets to three of your shows and every time some emergency has come up and I've had to give away my tickets. I would love to see you perform live and hope you come to Seattle sometime soon. I hope you are having a nice day." ......please remember to sign up for our mailing list thingy, and we'll try to do those blasts before I play anywhere near you!
July 16, 2008 - the update is...
that the manufacturere didn't send discs along to CDBaby after all. So i'm off to do that right now. Sorry about the false alarm/start again. I SWEAR it's good old fashioned Jude music a la back in the day, so hopefully it'll be worth the wait :)
July 15, 2008 - Hmmm.
Something is up with CDBaby - "Cuba" should be on sale by now... I'll let you know as soon as we figure it out.
July 12, 2008 - Dr. Evil - can anyone help this guy?

"So â€" once I read that Cuba was about to be released, I immediately went to CD Baby to search for it. Sadly, it’s not on their site yet, but I did notice that you are a recommended artist for people who like Will Smith. So, when do we get to hear you get Jiggy Wit’ It?
Come to Houston again!!!"
July 9, 2008 - CUBA!!!!!!!
The Cuba cd should be available tomorrow or Friday. More details and disclaimers to come :)
July 7, 2008 - back to work, and getting letters that make me pause...
"I know" is one of those songs that has comforted me through the years. I have tried for quite some time to find a site for you. About the time City of Angels came out, I lost a brother, that song said everything I felt. Being so young (barely 16) at the time it helped me understand the loneliness and despair I experienced. Thank you for writing something so real. Whether your intention was to assist those suffering a deep and indescribable loss or to simply fill a soundtrack I thank you. I cried, laughed, danced, and screamed to those words possibly a hundred times, but each time I felt a personal truth and unwavering emotion. Each time I walked away renewed and a little stronger, thank you and keep it up. I have never written to an artist and believe I never will again. Thank you for helping a stranger with your God given talent.

I was preparing to play in the
"Sud"of France. This year finds me on Martha's Vineyard with friends, mulling over everything, with no shows coming up but lots of work to do. After this weekend I'm heading back down south for a week or two, and the to LA to score a film - cool!
I hope this weekend finds you among family or friends, and that you have as much summer fun as a long weekend allows... and that we all pause at some point to think about the spirit of patriotism and rebellion that got us here, and the thousands of military in harm's way on our behalf, far from the homes they're protecting. Or maybe watch HBO's John Adams. Or at least drink a Sam Adams! Or, I guess, a Budweiser, as long as they're going to play those commercials with the giant horses...oh, and watch Ray lay it down.
